This article provides information on the soft/permanent retirement of Sophos Home Windows on systems running older Windows versions.
Soft retirement Windows list
Soft retirement means that there will be no software updates for PCs running Windows versions older than Windows 10 64-bit, but they will still get virus definition updates.
Permanent retirement Windows list
Once an OS is permanently retired, it will no longer receive new features, bug fixes, protection updates, customer support, or virus definitions.
End of support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1
Sophos Home ended support for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 on October 31, 2023. Sophos Home endpoints running these versions of Windows will no longer receive new features, bug fixes, protection updates and customer support.
