If you want to protect more computers with Sophos Home, you need to install the Sophos Home software on each computer, using an installer that is specific to your Sophos Home account. This article shows you the two options to install Sophos Home on your other computers.
Before installing Sophos Home, make sure that you:
- Have a Sophos account to access Sophos Home dashboard. If you do not have a Sophos Home account yet, follow the steps on creating a Sophos Home account.
- Check that your computer meets the system requirements for installing Sophos Home.
Using the installation link
- Log in to your Sophos Home dashboard.
- Click the Add Device button.
- Or choose Share Sophos Home in the top right of the dashboard
- Copy the installation link at the bottom of the Add Device window. Send this link via email or instant message to the desired computer. Note: macOS 10.11 users, we are investigating an issue where using a link gives the error that "Your operating system is unsupported". Please use the "Using the Install button directly on the computer you want to protect" section below as workaround
- Once the link is received, click or paste it into a browser on the computer where Sophos Home is to be installed. This takes you to a Sophos Home download page.
- Click the Download button to start downloading the installer.
- Double-click on the downloaded installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install Sophos Home.
Using the Install button directly on the computer you want to protect
- Login to your Sophos Home dashboard on the computer that you want protect.
- Click the Add Device button.
- Or choose Add device at top right of the dashboard
- Click the green Install button in the Add Device window. This starts downloading the installer.
- When the download is complete, double-click on the installer to start the installation and follow the instructions on the installation prompts.
