This article provides steps on how to disable Malicious Traffic Detection (MTD) via the Sophos Home Dashboard. These steps may be needed to troubleshoot problems. Your system's security is at risk while this feature is disabled, be sure to re-enable it after finishing troubleshooting.
How to disable Malicious Traffic Detection for troubleshooting
- Access your Sophos Home Dashboard
- Click the computer where you need to disable Malicious Traffic Detection (MTD)
- Go to Protection tab > then General tab.
- Switch off the toggle under Malicious Traffic Detection.
- Troubleshoot/test the issue.
- Re-enable Malicious Traffic Detection as soon as possible.
Note: Disabling Malicious Traffic Detection is NOT recommended, and should only be used for troubleshooting purposes.
