This article covers how to  generate a complete memory dump when a computer crashes. These steps may be required in order to troubleshoot blue screen issues, or similar crashes that may occur while Sophos Home is installed.  

Instructions

1. Open the computer properties through the steps below:
   
   • Windows 10 and 11
     Right-click on the Windows button then select System.
2. Click on Advanced system settings:
   
   • Windows 10 and 11
     The Advanced system settings could be either on the right sidebar, or near the bottom. It can also appear under "Related links" on Windows 11
     
     
3. On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
4. From the Write debugging information drop-down list, select Complete memory dump.
5. Make sure that the following are checked:
6. Click OK and restart the computer.

When the computer crashes, the dump file in .dmp format will be generated in the C:\Windows folder.
