This article provides information on the soft/permanent retirement of Sophos Home for Mac on systems running older macOS versions
Soft retirement macOS list
macOS versions listed under the Soft retirement section will no longer receive software updates, but will still get virus definition updates until moved to the permanent retirement list. Supported systems can be found here: Sophos Home system requirements

Permanent retirement macOS list
Once an OS is permanently retired, it will no longer receive new features, bug fixes, protection updates, customer support, or virus definitions.
End of support for OS X 11 Big Sur
Sophos Home ended support for macOS 11 Big Sur on June 13, 2024. Sophos Home endpoints running this version of macOS will no longer receive new features, bug fixes, protection and virus updates, and customer support (including the ability to re-install the software- as the download is no longer available).
The last security update from Apple for macOS 11 Big Sur was September 2023. While Apple continues to provide security updates for more recent versions of macOS, these updates are no longer provided for macOS 11.
It is recommended to stay up-to-date on all operating system and security updates to keep your devices protected.
